Marine Scientist and Educator
About
Marine scientist, educator, and program manager passionate about sharing the world of ocean science with students and the broader community.

I recently moved back to my native Florida to join the University of Florida IFAS Extension teams in Volusia and Flagler Counties as the Sea Grant Extension Agent. In this role I am excited to develop and implement community educational programs in the marine sciences and coastal conservation with the goals of addressing issues, facilitating solutions, and promoting positive behavior changes associated with the health of coastal and estuarine environments and their inhabitants.
When not working you can find me surfing my longboard, stand up paddling, exploring the outdoors, or teaching a fitness class.

Explore the Site
Much of this site is dedicated to educational materials I created while living and teaching in Bocas del Toro, Panama. While I am no longer living in Bocas, I hope these materials can be of use to residents and visitors to the beautiful archipelago I was lucky enough to call home. As I continue with my new position, I also plan to update the site with information on the marine and coastal environment in Florida!
